> Unveiled: Time Critical Freight Service With Unique Worldwide Tracking Capability

RED-TRACK, a unique real-time cargo delivery tracking system, is being unveiled today as Air Partner launches its new Time Critical worldwide freight delivery service.

Time Critical has been developed in response to increasing demand from Air Partner clients requesting door-to-door assistance to move goods that must be delivered within 36 hours. The new service will raise the level of visibility during transit of any cargo by using ‘live’ monitoring of a shipment’s movements.

RED-TRACK provides real-time supply chain and complete in-transit visibility of a shipment’s delivery progress using bespoke software exclusively written for Air Partner. Air Partner Time Critical clients can securely monitor their cargo’s progress and status online minute-by-minute and are able to transmit information to multiple approved contacts simultaneously via mobile or smart phone communications.

Time Critical is a specific service within Air Partner’s Freight Division – with two crucial differences:

  • In addition to organising aircraft charter, which is Air Partner’s core business, the Time Critical service encompasses other means of transportation, including scheduled airfreight and onboard couriers, depending on need and speed requirements while taking financial constraints into account.
  • Time Critical offers an all-inclusive service and handles every aspect of a shipment’s journey from pickup to delivery with minute-by-minute monitoring,

Richard Smith, Air Partner’s Director of Group Freight, explained: “For more than a decade, Air Partner Freight has primarily focussed on providing bespoke ‘go now’ services to move time-critical and outsize cargo, often into some of the world’s remotest areas. However, we increasingly receive requests for door-to-door cargo transport solutions and have successfully organised critical shipments for clients in the automotive, aviation and Formula 1 industries. Following evaluation and research, expanding this area of our business into a specific specialist service made perfect sense. Time Critical is a natural offshoot of the Freight department with the added value of the RED-TRACK system.”

Rob Moore, Sales Director, Air Partner Time Critical Projects, added: “The Time Critical service is aimed at clients seeking to place urgent cargo movements with a company that provides worldwide 24/7 door-to-door services to time-definite deadlines. We aim to supply fast, fully-inclusive cost-effective quotations. Our RED-TRACK software gives clients total visibility and control over their order at all times and provides instant answers to any questions about cargo in transit.”

Time Critical delivery services include using aircraft charters, from helicopters and light jets to larger dedicated freight charter aircraft, when speed and security are crucial. When appropriate, scheduled air freight services are offered for worldwide overnight and next-day shipments. Alternatively, if a shipment is small, a fast and economical method of transport could involve couriers accompanying cargo being moved on scheduled services as hand luggage or in the hold.

The Time Critical service capitalises on the strength and secure financial stature of the Air Partner brand, its status as a listed company on the London Stock Exchange, the company’s 50 years of trading, its global network of 20 offices, and its Royal Warrant from HM Queen Elizabeth II. Rob and Project Leader Nigel Nicholas have spent a year establishing a comprehensive Time Critical supplier base to ensure that every possible request can be met and every eventuality handled.

Rob has a strong background in the 24/7 time critical logistics market and joined Air Partner last year to establish the new Time Critical business.  He has extensive sales, managerial, freight forwarding and information technology expertise and prior to joining Air Partner was responsible for the start-up and sales development of a logistics brand. Rob has also served in the Royal Air Force where he was responsible for the planning, global movement and transportation of military personnel and equipment.

Nigel joined Air Partner Freight in 2006 and has extensive experience in chartering cargo aircraft on ad hoc and long-term bases. After a spell in the company’s Dubai office he returned to the UK to assist with the set-up of Air Partner Time Critical.
